Brianna Sugalski is a Romantic Dark Fantasy author with a soft spot for spite-driven, pastry loving FMCs, regrettably obsessive and bloodthirsty love interests, and well-fought-for Happily Ever After Alls.

Brianna is also a developmental editor specializing in #OwnVoices Fiction and Sci-fi/ Fantasy, with a special interest in the Folkloric, Adventure, and Sword & Sorcery Fantasy sub genres (books closed until Jan 2026).

Brianna lives in Southern California with her family and four cats (the fourth, aptly disguised as an elderly chihuahua). You’ll often find her in an oversized sweater listening to an audiobook, floppy sleeves cupped around a tea mug while curled up in a patch of sunlight. In her craft, she prefers exploring the ominous—disenchanting, if you will—undertones of history, romance, and the arcane.

Author’s note: My Vampire Romance/ Dark Fantasy debut, DISENCHANTED, was originally released as a YA standalone with The Parliament House Press in 2020. It’s since been rewritten and self-published under the same title for the New Adult market in 2022. The Ruinous Reign Series will follow this updated rating. DISILLUSIONED (Ruinous Reign: Book 2) will release in 2025.
